The T-Rex comes back to his wife!!

Cannon's new favorite movie is Night at the Museum. He particularly loves when the T-Rex skeleton comes to life. Here's an audio recording of him explaining what happens. West Provo Story

Molly and I were asked to supervise our ward's entry for the Stake Video Night (a road show replacement). The video was supposed to involve people from all the auxiliaries, include a dance scene, a stunt, and bloopers, be 7-15 minutes long, G-rated, and geared to an LDS audience. It was a big time commitment at a time we don't have much time to spare, but it was fun. Kinda feels like it did at the end of a semester back when I was in school--the adrenaline rush mixed with exhaustion from completing something that you couldn't figure out how in the world you'd be able to finish by the deadline. :-)

T-Rex Boat

This morning I woke up at 6:30 and wanted to do draw on the computer with Dad. We made a boat with an alligator and lots of T-Rexes.

Yooster Eggs!

Cannon loves Easter. Well, he loves finding Easter eggs, especially when they have candy in them. On Saturday he called them "Yooster Eggs." Today he started saying the word correctly, so I quickly re-trained him to call them Yooster Eggs.

For Family Home Evening tonight we went to Nana's house, where Grandma and Grandpa Plumb are visiting, and we brought a little basket of mostly empty plastic eggs for him to find. Cannon was absolutely thrilled to find the eggs and didn't seem to mind that almost all of them were empty. After he had found all the eggs and brought them back to show mom and Nana, I would sneak them away and hide them again. Once he caught me taking them out of his basket and was upset about it, so I put them back in the basket and waited for him to go look for some more before taking them out again. As long as he didn't see me taking the eggs out, he didn't seem to think anything of the fact that he kept putting more and more eggs into the basket, yet it never filled up.

On the Saturday before Easter, a family in our neighborhood invites everyone over to their cul-de-sac for an Easter egg hunt. All the children are supposed to bring a dozen eggs, and the parents bring a breakfast dish. Cannon brought his twelve eggs but had no interest in giving them up to be hidden. He was pretty content with what he already had, but he did find a few more eggs and added them to his collection.

(This is the same cul-de-sac that turns into Cul-de-sac of Fire on July 4th, which you have to experience to believe. It seriously becomes a battle scene from a WWII movie, with fireworks going off everywhere all at once in every direction, kids running around crazy with matches, fireworks, and sparklers. You have to be constantly on the lookout for fireworks coming toward you.)

We have an awesome neighborhood.
